“ The outside of this restaurant is very unassuming, however, once you enter it is a completely different story. As soon as we sat down fresh chips and salsa were placed at our table and our server followed right after. This was the first time in a long time that nothing went empty at our table the entire meal. I definitely recommend getting the spicey cucumber margarita, it was refreshing with a little kick. I had the shredded chicken chimichanga which was delicious and everyone else at the table throughly enjoyed their meals. I wasn't a big fan of the flan, but that's hit or miss everywhere. I definitely suggest giving this restaurant a try. ”

“ This is our favorite place to get Mexican style food in Winston Salem. Ironically, we don’t crave Mexican food very often due to a lack of authenticity in the flavors of most Mexican restaurants. Tulum changed that for us. Everything tastes homemade. All of the sauces, tortillas, etc. are fresh. The meats have been seasoned properly and great portion sizes. Some of our favorites are grilled shrimp & vegetables, Enchiladas Mexicanas and Quesa Birria Tacos. Today we had a smorgasbord while celebrating our 10th anniversary. Alicia took great care of us. Very professional and friendly staff! ”
“ My friend and I planned to go to Tulum Bar and Grill for lunch. I poured over their extensive menu for days. I wanted something different and they have several options that are not the norm. So many in fact, I made notes in my phone. They have tricolor chips that were warm and fresh. I got the Spicy Cucumber Margarita. It was also huge and delicious. Nice spicy rim and it had chunks of cucumber and green peppers mixed in. It was so fresh and I counted it as a salad. The salsa had the right amount of heat and was mostly smooth, no onions (yay!). I ordered the Coconut Shrimp meal that came with 12 HUGE shrimp, white seasoned rice and refied beans with cheese. The shrimp were so plump and cooked perfectly! The dipping sauce had a tropical flare and was 10 times better than the standard orange marmalade. Note: I had missed this item in my menu search, so I still have lots of things to try. My friend got the Tulum Burrito. It was stuffed with scallops, shrimp, rice, black beans etc.. it was covered in a slightly spicy queso. It was huge. We both got to go boxes. Parking is really limited. There is a parking garage across the street but it gets quite pricey. Two to four hours is 9.00. Eek. But you know what, the restaurant was worth it. ”
